Frequently Asked Questions

Effective date: 1 July 2026

Quick answers about the free demo scan, paid AI Visibility report, report delivery and what the findings mean.

What is AI Visibility?

AI Visibility checks whether AI-style search answers are likely to mention your business, miss your business, or recommend competitors instead. It also checks website signals that help AI tools understand what you do.

What does the free demo scan include?

The free demo scans your website, lets you choose local buyer-intent search questions, checks a small set of AI visibility results, and highlights common website fixes such as missing FAQ content, schema, sitemap or llms.txt.

What does the paid report include?

The paid report runs deeper checks across more AI-style searches, shows competitor mentions, identifies missed opportunities, and generates practical fix assets such as FAQ copy, schema guidance, llms.txt content and a priority implementation plan.

What copy-paste fixes does the report generate?

The report can generate an llms.txt file, FAQ page copy, FAQPage schema, LocalBusiness or industry-specific schema, metadata suggestions and a priority implementation guide. These are designed to be practical starting points for updating your website.

What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is a plain text file placed at /llms.txt on your website. It gives AI crawlers a clear summary of your business, services, locations, important pages, booking options and FAQs.

Why does llms.txt matter?

AI tools need clean, structured business facts. A strong llms.txt file gives them a single readable source for what your business does, where you operate, who you help and which pages matter most.

Do you check whether llms.txt already exists?

Yes. The report checks whether llms.txt exists and whether it gives enough useful business, service, location, FAQ and booking information. If it is missing or weak, the report generates an improved version.

What is schema?

Schema is structured data added to a website so search engines and AI systems can understand the page more clearly. It can describe the business, services, locations, FAQs, people, products, reviews and other important details.

What is FAQ schema?

FAQ schema is structured data that matches visible FAQ questions and answers on a website. It helps search engines and AI systems understand the exact questions your page answers.

Do I need visible FAQ copy as well as FAQ schema?

Yes. The FAQ answers should be visible on the page, and the FAQ schema should match that visible copy. Schema should not be used to hide answers that customers cannot see.

What is LocalBusiness schema?

LocalBusiness schema describes a local business in structured data. It can include the business name, website, address, phone number, opening hours, service area, social profiles and services.

What if my business has multiple locations?

A multi-location business should usually use one parent organisation and separate local business or industry-specific schema entries for each branch. Each location should have its own address, phone number and local details where known.

Do you use industry-specific schema?

Where the business type is clear, the generated schema can use more specific types such as HairSalon, Dentist, TattooParlor, Electrician, Plumber or ProfessionalService instead of a generic LocalBusiness type.

Will the report invent missing details?

No. The fixes should use facts found on the website or supplied through the report workflow. Unknown details such as opening hours, prices, reviews or staff names should be omitted rather than guessed.

Can the generated fixes be pasted straight into my website?

The fixes are intended to be copy-paste ready where the crawl has enough reliable website facts. You should still review them before publishing, especially addresses, phone numbers, hours, services and claims.

What happens if the website cannot be crawled properly?

If the system cannot crawl enough website content, the report should not generate fake copy-paste fixes. The crawl needs real page content so the generated FAQ, llms.txt and schema can be accurate.

Do you check local schema quality?

Yes. The report checks whether local schema exists and whether it includes useful signals such as local business type, address, phone, opening hours, sameAs links and FAQ schema where relevant.

What website issues can hurt AI visibility?

Common issues include missing llms.txt, weak FAQ content, missing FAQ schema, missing or incomplete LocalBusiness schema, vague service pages, unclear location wording, thin metadata and missing booking or contact signals.

Why are FAQs important for AI search?

AI answers often respond to direct customer questions. Clear FAQ content helps your site answer buying-intent searches about services, pricing, booking, location, trust, process and suitability.

What kinds of FAQ questions should my website answer?

Good FAQs answer what you offer, where you operate, how to book, who the service is for, what to expect, pricing or quote process, payment options, preparation, aftercare, policies and trust signals.

Do you test competitor visibility?

Yes. The report checks AI-style search questions and records whether your business appears, whether competitors appear instead, and which questions are missed.

What are missed searches?

Missed searches are customer-style questions where your business does not appear in the AI-style answer. These questions often become the basis for FAQ, service page, metadata and schema improvements.

What is the AI readiness score?

The AI readiness score summarises how prepared the website is for AI and search visibility based on signals such as crawlability, llms.txt, schema, FAQs, metadata, location clarity and useful page content.

What is Website Optimisation?

Website Optimisation is the done-for-you service where AI Visibility implements priority improvements from the report, such as metadata updates, schema, FAQ improvements, internal linking and content optimisation.

What is the AI Visibility Website service?

The AI Visibility Website service is for businesses that need a stronger modern website built around speed, mobile usability, SEO, AI-ready structure, service clarity and future visibility improvements.

Can AI Visibility implement the fixes for me?

Yes. The report includes next-step options for businesses that want AI Visibility to implement priority fixes or build a more AI-ready website instead of doing the work themselves.

Should I choose optimisation or a new website?

Optimisation usually suits websites that are already usable but need stronger content, schema and technical signals. A new website is usually better when the current site is old, slow, hard to edit or structurally weak.

Which AI tools do you test?

The report is designed around ChatGPT-style, Gemini-style and Perplexity-style answer behaviour. Exact availability can depend on the current providers connected to the system.

Do you guarantee higher AI rankings?

No. AI answers change often and no tool can guarantee a specific ranking, mention or lead result. The report gives you evidence, opportunities and implementation recommendations that can improve how clearly your website explains your business to search and AI systems.

How long does a report take?

Most reports are generated within a few minutes, but larger websites or busy AI providers can take longer. The progress page shows the current scan, analysis, question and report-building steps.

Can I give the report to my developer?

Yes. The report is built so a website owner or developer can use it. You can share the private report link with a trusted developer so they can copy the recommended website fixes.

Is my report private?

Reports are opened through private report links. Anyone with the link may be able to view the report, so only share it with people you trust.

What if the report fails?

If a paid report fails because of a technical issue, we may resend the link, regenerate the report, fix the issue or provide another appropriate remedy under the refund policy.
